Seniors honored at “March To Graduation”
2020 was definitely a year like no other. This year’s senior class has spent almost the whole year behind a screen, and a group of Midlo senior parent volunteers, headed by Stacy Atkins and Leann Owings, has decided to celebrate them. On Saturday, March 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., seniors are encouraged to decorate their cars with Midlo spirit and drive to the student parking lot. Entering from the bus loop, students will find a series of eventful stations full of different activities. Free lunches will be provided from Firehouse Subs, along with fun treats, games, and a live DJ. Among the exciting events, Midlo is hosting several free give-aways from Marco’s Pizza, Tropical Smoothie, Chick-fil-A, Sugar Shack, Wendy’s, Bell Greek and more! There will also be several free raffles for anyone who attends. However, seniors must remain in their cars the entire time. The event will be socially distant but will be a great opportunity for seniors to reunite with friends before the year comes to an end. Seniors will also be able to pick up their Herff Jones Graduation Orders.
The group is in need of a volunteer to wear the Midlo Mascot outfit for the event. The volunteer must be taller than 5’9 and no taller than 6’3. Anyone who has questions or is interested in volunteering may contact [email protected] and [email protected].
