Spichiger and Crisp named November Students of the Month

Midlo November Student of the Month Recipients

Every month Midlo recognizes one upper-class student and one underclass student who reflect the school’s core values of respect, integrity, sincerity and treating others with equality by going above and beyond both inside and outside the classroom. As for the month of November, senior Heather Spichiger and sophomore Emma Crisp were the recipients.

Spichiger was recognized as the upper-class student who stood out to teachers and faculty members for demonstrating a passion for achieving excellence in all of her classes. Upon receiving the award, she saw it as motivation to keep working towards her academic goals. She is extremely thankful for her teachers that nominated her as they “inspire [me] to learn and work harder,” Spichiger said. Spichiger is also involved in various extracurricular activities including Midlo’s girls volleyball program. Having been a part of the team since the eighth grade, she has come to learn how to be “both leader and a good teammate” throughout the years. She is also an active member of the National Honor Societies for Math and Science.

As for Crisp, she is the co-captain of the Speech and Debate team, a member of the French Club and a Freshmen Sidekick. Receiving the Student of the Month award is a “great accomplishment” for Crisp and she is “very grateful” for the teachers that nominated her.

Congratulations, Heather and Emma!
