Senior reminders for start of September
Senior Information
After the long Labor Day weekend break, seniors are returning to school in full swing. Throughout the week of September 7-10, 2021, the Class of 2022 has a wide array of activities to look forward to. At the start of the week on Tuesday, September 7, seniors have the opportunity to retake their yearbook portraits. By navigating to the Candid Color website, students can pick a time throughout the school day to schedule their sitting. All girls must arrive wearing a camisole or tank top to wear under the drape, while boys should dress in a white t-shirt to wear under the provided tuxedo shirt.
In addition, Convocation will be held on Thursday, September 9 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the F. W. Poates Stadium. Dr. Abel will welcome the seniors, and the senior class officers will be sworn in, and then there will be a special keynote speaker. After the speakers, there will be refreshments and an opportunity to take pictures with classmates. Seniors are expected to dress in a dress shirt, tie, dress slacks, dress shoes, or dress/skirt and dress shoes.
Also on Thursday, the School Counseling Department will host Senior Night from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. This is the time when seniors and their families can ask questions regarding the college application process, as well as receive information on how to obtain student transcripts through Parchment. Additionally, both military recruiters and college admissions representatives will be available for seniors to talk with. Seniors can also place their cap and gown orders at this time.
Rounding out the week, Midlo will hold its first pep rally of the year this Friday. Seniors will wear gold to show off their school spirit and class pride.
