Photographs help us to never forget our favorite memories. For the past four years, senior Alexa Battle has been on the sideline of every football game, pep rally, and Midlothian High School graduation capturing images of every exciting and memorable moment. Alexa began photographing her friends and classmates in middle school when she received her first camera. Alexa’s natural ability with the camera has produced some incredible images. Her incredible talent is showcased in the Midlo yearbook and its newspaper, Midlo Scoop. Sydney Van Horn of the Midlo Scoop says “Alexa’s pictures add a little something extra to all the stories, especially the pep rally stories. Alexa is incredible at capturing the excitement from the crowds, and her pictures help our readers to feel the excitement of the pep rally, game, etc.”

In 2015, Alexa started her own photography business, AB Photography. Alexa had an incredible year in 2016. She received a record number of clients and received some incredible honors. In December, 2016, her incredible talent was recognized by ESPN Sports when they selected one of Alexa’s pictures to use at the 2016 Heisman Trophy presentation. At the end of December, Alexa received her acceptance letter from the VCU School of Art, one of the best art schools in the nation.
