The annual holiday Spirit Week took place the week of Dec 16, 2024. “I didn’t even realize it was Spirit Week until I saw Dr. Abel’s announcement on Canvas,” Drew Bays, 10, said. “I think they did a bad job at advertising it.”
Along with limited participation, students seem to be unhappy with the chosen themes. “I thought the themes were pretty lame this time around. They are getting worse and worse as each Spirit Week occurs,” Gibson Gross, 10, said.
While Spirit Week used to be a fun way for students and faculty to bond, it seems as though poor communication, boring themes, and the absence of student involvement has altered school spirit forever.
