The Midlothian International Baccalaureate community welcomed Mr. Jones as the new IB Coordinator. Jones received a B. A. from the University of Mary Washington and an M.Ed. from Old Dominion University. He began his teaching career at Churchland High School. Four years later, he moved to Norfolk and taught for fourteen years at Granby High School, an IB World School where he taught AP Government.

Jones was then promoted to the position of IB Coordinator at King’s Fork High School in Suffolk. There, he taught  IB Psychology while also serving as the Theory of Knowledge teacher and the Supervisor for Advanced Instruction for Suffolk County Public Schools. Watching students develop through the IB Program is something that inspires Jones and acts as his drive for teaching.
