On Thursday, Jan. 23, members of the Student Council Association (SCA) club gathered to make positive snowflakes. “January can be a bit of a rough patch in the school year to get through.” SCA sponsor, Morgan Hargrave, said. “The sun isn’t out as much, it’s super cold, and spring break is nowhere in sight.”
Combining paper and the club’s creativity, SCA made these positive snowflakes in hopes of combating this wintry rough patch for students. Adding affirming and inspirational quotes to their snowflakes, they attached them to a fishing line to hang them up in the future for all the students to see. “My favorite quote so far is ‘You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.’ It reminds people to at the very least try.” Hargrave said. “So, ask the question. Submit the application. Try out for that team. You never know!”
