Ms. Tina Walke earns January Employee of the Month Award
January Employee of the Month: Ms. Walke
Ms. Tina Walke, IB Secretary and Office Assistant, won the January Employee of the Month Award for always going above and beyond. After the loss of several office workers to other job opportunities in Chesterfield, Ms. Walke’s 17 years of knowledge made a tremendous impact on the Midlothian Community. From covering counseling absences to helping with test proctoring, Ms. Walke does it all and keeps Midlo’s front office running smoothly.
Here are the nominations from her co-workers:
“Tina is a gem! I have never met anyone that puts in as much effort and detail into their work like Tina does. She is always willing to help and has the kindest heart. Tina’s commitment to Midlothian High School is incredible. Having her on our team makes a huge difference. It is really admirable how she sees projects through from conception to completion. Her work ethic is out of this world!”
“Tina is always willing to help, and has a servant’s attitude. She volunteers her time after 2 p.m. for the betterment of the Midlothian Community. Although assigned to the front office, Tina operates as the IB Secretary as well. She is often in counseling covering absences and helps with all facets of testing short of proctoring! Tina has been a tremendous help in tracking students who received help from teachers on asynchronous Wednesdays. Furthermore, Ms. Walke’s institutional memory of how things operate was so very crucial to getting the front office up and running this fall, especially through all the reiterations of ‘opening’.”
“Tina always goes above and beyond her job description. She never hesitates to jump in and do anything asked of her. She even volunteers time to help out at Midlo after her official workday is done. She has taught me a lot in the front office and never hesitates to answer my questions as everything in the office is new to me and she is a Pro! She truly loves her job and everyone at Midlo…She IS Midlo!”
“Tina is always so helpful and willing to do whatever is needed, wherever she is needed.”
“I would like to nominate Tina Walke as a Midlo All-Star. She exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated and hard-working team member. She is organized and thorough with any task assigned to her. She will step up to help at a moment’s notice. We are so fortunate to have her here at Midlothian HS.”
“Tina loves helping in ways that go beyond her responsibilities, and she is so kind!”
“It is hard to know where to begin! Tina is always there to: 1) lend a hand, 2) offer her eyes and keen attention to detail, 3) bounce ideas off of, 4) work her magic on an excel spreadsheet, 5) design banners and graphics, 6) collaborate with any department, 7) keep everybody straight….and the list goes on and on. She is truly invaluable to our community and makes a huge impact on a daily basis. She is a dedicated worker, an amazing citizen, and a true friend. There is no way to truly thank her for the often thankless and seemingly invisible “behind the scenes” work she does to support our students and staff, but I can think of no other more deserving of the EOM award than Ms. Tina Walke.”
Congratulations Ms. Walke!
