Midlo FBLA dominates regionals with 57 first place winners

FBLA Regionals 2020

Members of the Midlothian High FBLA chapter dominate regional competition.

Midlo FBLA members gathered with Mrs. Yvonne Mullins last week to participate in the FBLA Regional Competition, most of which consists of 100 question timed exams in various business categories, such as Agribusiness or Business Law.

These talented business students scored first place in an impressive total of 39 events, representing 57 Midlo students. The Midlothian FBLA club also won the Largest Chapter Award, with a sum of 270 members. FBLA club sponsor Mrs. Mullins shares, “I was so pleased with the performance of the Midlo FBLA students at their regional competition this year.  We entered 98 students in tests or performance events. We can only enter 2 students per objective test, and in most categories, we received 1st and 2nd place. Midlo business students continue to shine at [the] regional level.” Due to the large population of 1st and 2nd place winners, only 1st place state qualifiers will continue to the annual state competition from April 17-18, 2020, in Reston, Virginia.

Congratulations to the following FBLA Regional competitors who placed in their events, and special congratulations to the 1st and 2nd place winners, as they are eligible to compete at the state competition:
