Midlo RAMPS Spreads Awareness

RAMPS Club LazerQuest Fundraiser

Rachel Edwards, President of Midlo RAMPS, distributes life savers to Midlo students, encouraging them to “save a life.”

On Friday, February 15, 2019, Midlo RAMPS Club members stood at the front and back entrances of the school and handed out LifeSaver candies to students, encouraging them to “Save a life”. In addition to the treats, they distributed fliers to encourage students to come to Laser Quest and beat Monacan in a laser tag competition, while fundraising for a new ramp. The event takes place next Monday, February 18, from 5-8. RAMPS encourages all students to invite friends and families as well.

RAMPS, a student-led organization, collects money to supply wheelchair-bound Richmond community members with ramps, so they can leave their homes in a safe manner. Rachel Edwards, President of Midlo RAMPS Club, encourages students to join and help by reminding them, “LaserQuest is a fun activity which students would probably go to anyway, so why not go when you can support the community and literally save a life?”

Come to Laser Quest on Monday to help your Richmond community members! Just mention that you’re on Midlo’s team. Those who wish to contribute to RAMPS may leave contributions marked Midlo RAMPS in the main office.
