Mrs. Jennifer Fischer joins the English Department.

Mrs. Fischer returns to Midlo after teacher half of the 2016-2017 school year. Her return to the classroom follows a break from the teaching field to spend time with her kids.

Where are you from?

I’m from Richmond, but I grew up in Henrico County.

Where did you attend college?

I went to VCU for my Bachelor’s Degrees in Religious Studies and Teaching.

Where have you previously taught?

Amelia County Middle School for 3 years, and then at Carter G. Woodson for 2 years. After that, I decided to take a few years off to spend time with my 3 kids.

What made you choose to come to Midlo?

I was excited about teaching in Chesterfield County because of the great leadership. However, Midlo in particular because of the administrative team, the reputation of the school and community, and the school spirit.

Where can you be found outside of school?

At the park with my 3 kids, going on bike rides with them, and watching horror movies.

Describe Midlo in a few words.

Bursting at the seams with pride, spirit, and dedication from all of the staff and students.
