Where have you taught in previous years?

Nottoway and Cumberland

Is this the only subject you’ve ever taught?

I also am licensed to teach ESL, was a Virtual Virginia mentor, and taught an Intro to Foreign Language class.

Do you have any hobbies?

I play soccer at SCOR, XLSports, BRVA and River City, and am the Conference Coordinator for FLAVA.

What’s your preferred teaching style?

Hands-on and consideration of the whole child. We enjoy all learning styles and ways to demonstrate learning, including technology resources and PBL.

What makes your class special?

I try to incorporate the interests and learning styles of students. I make the classroom as comfortable and conducive a learning environment as possible for students to be willing to learn a language and take risks. Each class is its own family.

Do you have any additional comments?

This is my first year at Midlo, and I love it! My coworkers are so supportive, and administration is empowering.

Welcome to the Midlo Family, Ms. Smith!
