On Saturday, February 25th, Hayden Calhoun, Nadia Hassan, Jinwoo Kim, and Dillon Powell participated in the Scholastic Bowl States competition. These students valiantly fought at William and Mary against the best teams in Virginia.
Despite all of their efforts, Midlo’s team lost to Loudoun County HS 225 – 140, but played much more competitively against Jamestown HS and Sherando HS. Thanks to all of their hard work, these students earned fourth place and qualified to attend Nationals in either Chicago, New Orleans, or Washington DC.
Special recognition: Senior Hayden Calhoun made the 2017 VHSL All State Scholastic Bowl Team with 270 points. Congratulations, Scholastic Bowl team!
