Language and Laughter in the Library
French Students Teach Language to Elementary Schoolers at the Midlo Public Library
On Saturday, October 29, 2016, French students taught children, ages K-5, basic French vocabulary through a variety of activities at the Midlothian Public Library . BJ Beckwith and Evelyn Reece taught body parts using songs. Claire O’Brien taught colors with stuffed animals and colored candy. Katie Patrick taught numbers 1-10 with the Flyswatter game and by using bubbles. The feedback from the community was very positive. The group plans to have another event at the library in February.
