There’s been a buzz of excitement in the library lately, with students coming in and out to see the future additions to the Midlo family: eggs. The library’s newest endeavor is incubating and hatching a small clutch of chicken eggs.
“We are partnering with Farmer Chris,” Librarian, Heather Murfee, said. “Farmer Chris used to be a teacher. She decided to take her educational experience and her love of animals and farms and combine the two. She is a part of Chesterfield county Parks and Recreation She partners with schools in Chesterfield County. She provided us with the eggs.”
This will be the first time trying something like this for the library, with librarians and students alike anxiously awaiting the hatching. They are expected to hatch on Sun., Mar. 16. But not to worry! If they are to hatch on a non-school day, the library has set up a live cam which is currently live.
