On February 27, 2020, Ms. Elizabeth Boese and Ms. Emily Pfund will host an informational meeting for the 2021 Spring Break Alps & Mediterranean Coast Experience in the Meeting Room of the Midlothian Public Library at 6:00 p.m. During this meeting, Boese and Pfund will discuss the logistics of the trip, as well as the itinerary and payment options. At the meeting, prospective attendees, accompanied by their guardians, can choose to sign up for the trip immediately, but they also have the option to sign up at a later time.

Past Midlothian groups have travelled abroad for musical competitions and IB cultural learning, but this trip is open to all Midlo students, regardless of age and extracurricular involvement. During the trip, the group plans to visit Lucerne (Switzerland), Cinque Terre (Italy), the French Riviera (France), Provence (France), and Barcelona (Spain). Throughout the experience, attendees will explore the Swiss Alps, learn to dance the flamenco, and tour Avignon. Regarding the experience, Boese remarks that “there has been a lot of interest in the trip” and that she “is really excited for the cultural exposure.”
