Midlo Lights It Up Blue

April Is Autism Awareness Month

On April 20, members of the Midlothian High School faculty and staff wore blue to support children with autism.

April is Autism Awareness Month. On Friday, April 20, 2018, Midlothian High School supported students with autism by purchasing and wearing light blue t-shirts designed to raise autism awareness.  The High Intensity Autism program sold shirts for the occasion, with proceeds benefiting the Midlothian Autism program. They quickly sold out of the shirts, and Midlo’s faculty happily wore blue to support the exceptional program.

1 in 68 children is born with a variation of autism. Throughout the month of April, the nation decks out in blue to show support for the children affected by autism. In order to shed light on subject, members of Midlo’s Autism program worked with TLN to create an informative, inspirational video (featured with this piece).
