Laughter, joy and school spirit filled Midlothian’s campus on September 26, 2025 as students, families and alumni gathered for the annual Homecoming Carnival, a tradition that brings the community together before the big Homecoming game!
The carnival games were run by different clubs here at Midlothian High School. Travis Spencer, sponsor of the Spanish club said this event is super important at Midlothian since it brings the whole community together. She also expressed her anticipation for the carnival, “It’s always fun to see what different activities clubs are going to do every year.” The Black Student Union’s (BSU) carnival table activity was “Lyrics and Layups”, and they had a photo booth as explained by the BSU president, Miracle Muhammad.
At the Rho Kappa Honor Society carnival table there was a History Trivia Quiz. Both Sophia Relia Cresulia and Lily Porco explained their goal to involve more people: “We need to involve as many people as we can. We also want to teach people some new stuff they never knew.”
Meanwhile, Homecoming court member Grace Ranallo really enjoyed the event as many clubs had so many fun activities. Attendee, Jaiden Harris explained her joy, as this was her first time attending this event, “I really enjoyed this event. I love how the community really showed up. It was so much fun.”
The homecoming carnival left behind more than just memories of food and fun. For students, staff, families and alumni, it was a reminder of how tradition and community come together at Midlothian High School. With the Homecoming game ahead and a week full of spirit days behind, the carnival really shows what Homecoming week is truly about: celebrating unity and the lasting bonds that make Midlothian feel like home.
