On April 4, 2025, the Minecraft Moviewas released. However, the script writing began in March 2, 2014, and the filming started in Jan. 2024. The movie will soon be coming to the platforms Amazon Prime Video, and Apple TV+. This movie has been out for only four weeks but, has made 720.8 million sales worldwide and has become the highest-grossing film of the year so far.

Although the Minecraft Movie has only been released less than a month ago, it has become one of the most talked about movies of the year so far. One of the big subjects in the Minecraft Movie is the cast, the cast includes Jack Black, Jason Momao, Jennifer Coolidge and Emma Myers. The Minecraft Movie has slowly been getting more well known for the fun, cheering and laughable meme moments such as ¨Chicken Jockey¨. 

The Minecraft Movie scores 48% rotten tomato rating has been seen as a stupid and childish movie. The movie is also seen as a Jumanji spin-off, as both movies are set as a group of individuals all getting stuck in a video game. This makes the movie seen as a rework and that much thought was not put into making it, even though it took almost a decade to write the script.
