On Feb. 14, 2025, Captain America: Brave New World hit theaters. This movie picks up after the events in the show Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The show takes place after Steve Rogers passed his shield to one of his best friends, Sam Wilson. Brave New World portrays a story about Sam taking on the role of Captain America while struggling with public backlash about his race. Sam continuously compared himself to Steve. He had the opportunity to take the super soldier serum, but he decided to stay true to himself after a conversation with Bucky, his former colleague. Some would say Sam is the perfect example of Captain America because he’s human, has no serum in his body, and fights for what is right regardless of public and governmental opinions. 

Despite this movie being in the famous Captain America saga, many fans disliked this movie and claimed it had a poor script and the cgi effects were sloppy. The writing team of Malcom Spellman and Dalan Musson started this script in April of 2021 and wanted to give a new spin on Captain America movies. For a movie bringing in $289.4 million dollars in less than two weeks worldwide, the reviews were unpleasant.
