Throughout their years in high school, the seniors on the Midlo Dance team traveled to countless competitions, spiced up pep rallies with their routines, and supported the football team on Friday nights. Although COVID has halted some of these activities, the seniors continue to make the most of their final season, each serving as team captains.

On Friday, March 12, 2021, the Midlo Dance team celebrated their senior night. During Midlo’s home football game against Meadowbrook High School, teammates and family members gathered as each senior was announced, sharing their memories from the team and plans for the future.

Dance Team Class of 2021:

Ainsley Bryant: Bryant has been on the dance team for four years and has participated in competitive dance for 10 years. After graduation, she plans to attend Elon University to study child psychology.

Reagan Hatcher: Hatcher has been on the dance team for four years. After graduation, she plans to attend Virginia Tech and major in childhood education. Her favorite memory from her time on the team was bonding with her teammates.

Anna Sommardahl: Sommardahl has been on the dance team for three years. She plans to attend the University of South Carolina and major in marketing.

Following the senior night celebration, Sommardahl said “I am going to miss being able to meet new people that are in different grades. My time on the team has taught me to be a leader, especially since I’m captain this year.” After years of dedication to their team, the senior class hopes to lead throughout the remainder of their final season and excel in their bright futures.
