Learning How to Lead
2017 CCPS Leadership Institute
Every year, ten students from each high school in Chesterfield County Public Schools are accepted to attend the Chesterfield County Public Schools Student Leadership Institute at Manchester Middle School over the summer. Students attend the institute to improve skills related to leadership, communication, teamwork, and planning, which will benefit them in future leadership positions. Each teacher nominates one student leader who exemplifies positive leadership skills in and out of the classroom, and who will benefit from the activities offered at the institute. The nominated students are then invited to apply for the opportunity to attend the institute. The workshop will take place June 21-22 (8:00 am – 4:30 am) and conclude on June 23 (8:00 am-noon).
