A Pumpkin-Picking Frenzy

Swift Creek Berry Farm & Greenhouse

Choose your very own pumpkin,

The Swift Creek Berry Farm & Greenhouse, once a small family vegetable garden, has now transformed into an expansive, fun-filled farm open to the public. Selling blueberries, pumpkins, pansies, and more, this destination draws crowds this time of year.

At 15, the Berry Farm provides an exciting experience for  family and friend. Besides the pumpkins and berries, Swift Creek Berry Farm offers a variety of activities. A fire pit for s’mores and hamburgers, a spooky mini maze, pumpkin painting, and a few bean bag tossing games make it a popular choice during the fall months.  “Honestly, we spent more time playing around and eating s’mores than the actual pumpkin choosing,” sophomore Marisa Ruotolo laughs. “We spent the most time at the fire pit and the pumpkin painting station. At the fire pit, we bought 2 s’mores kits and rapidly put together the sandwiches to fill our stomachs. After a couple laughs, we moved to the pumpkins, painting happy faces.” Marisa and sophomore Hannah Tucker used the remaining paint for their hands. Using every last ounce, Marisa and Hannah covered their hands with different colors of the spectrum.

The Berry Farm offers a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful bit of the countryside. The fall hours are: 9 am-5 pm on Mondays-Saturdays and 1 pm-5 pm on Sundays. Purchase pansies, s’mores kits, other small trinkets and accessories, and of course, pumpkins when you visit. Everybody is welcome to have a bite and enjoy the weather with family and friends!
